Personal Training for Dads in Canberra

Work, school runs, weekend sport and everyone else's needs can push your own training to the bottom of the list. Off The Pine personal training is for Canberra dads who want to stay strong, fit and capable for their kids, and are done starting over every few months. Regular weekly times are agreed during booking, so training has a protected place in the week instead of getting whatever is left.

Your Back Yourself Session starts with an honest look at what has stopped you before. We set a floor you can keep through a hard week, a sick kid or a broken night, and build from there. Your sessions develop practical strength, fitness and mobility at a level that matches your body now, whether you have never lifted or used to train hard and drifted away from it.

This isn't for everyone. We don't do motivation, pep talks or chasing you for sessions. If you've decided and you want someone to hold the standard with you, book in. Your coach provides the structure and honest feedback, and you own the decision to follow through.

Your program is available in Everfit, and weekly check-ins cover Movement, Nutrition, Recovery and Accountability. The aim is not a short burst before the next busy stretch. It is to be the dad who can still lift, play and keep up in ten years, and who still trains.

Training that fits around family life

Most dads do not need more motivation. They need a time in the week that is protected, a plan that survives a busy fortnight, and a coach who notices when they drift.

You can train in Deakin or Civic, have a coach come to your home, or train online. Gold packages can be split into two 45-minute or three 30-minute sessions, which is often easier to fit around work and school. On Gold and above, you can share sessions with your partner or a family member and split the weekly rate.

Client story

“As someone who was new to going to the gym, our sessions have helped to build my form and overall confidence in training by myself. Shannon tailors sessions to my needs and goals including by introducing new exercises as needed.”

FAQ

Personal training for dads: questions

I used to be fit. Can you help me get back to it?
Yes. We start from where your body is now, not where it was, and build back strength and fitness without trying to make up for lost time in the first week.
I barely have time. Will this work for me?
Yes, if you protect the time. We agree fixed weekly sessions when you book and set a floor: the minimum you will do on your worst week, so busy weeks do not undo your progress.
Can my partner or a family member train with me?
Yes. On Gold and above, two or three people can share a 45 or 60-minute session and split the weekly rate.
Can you come to my home?
Yes. We bring the coach and equipment to homes across most of Canberra. A 60-minute session costs $169 to $229 including travel, depending on distance.
Are your trainers qualified?
Yes. Shannon and every Off The Pine personal trainer hold recognised fitness qualifications, professional registration and current first aid.
